Dr. JT Washington hold many hats and operates in multiple capacities.
Dr. Washington was born and raised on the Southside of Chicago in the Englewood Community. The Englewood Community is renowned for its gang violence and poverty stricken residents. Fortunately, Dr. Washington and his brother came from a two parent household that placed a strong emphasis on getting a quality education. "Growing up college was never a choice, it was mandatory," Dr. Washington recalls.
Dr. Washington eventually graduated from Lindbloom Technical High School as Salutatorian of his class. He later went to the Illinois Institute of Technology where he majored in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering.
Mr. Washington went on to work in various capacities for industry leaders such as Polaroid, Amour Swift-Eckrich, Corn Products International, Glenmark, Ecolab, Pepsi Americas, Merisant, and NOW Foods.
After spending several years in corporate America, Dr. Washington went back to school to obtain a MBA and a PhD in Ministry.
In 2006, Dr. Washington teamed with Monster.com's "Making It Count" Program to deliver motivational speeches to high school students all across the US. The program focused on empowering students to make the right choices for succeeding in high school, choosing a college, being prepared for college, and learning financial literacy. From 2006 - 2012 Dr. Washington spoke with over 90,000 students in cities such as North Hollywood, CA; Omaha, NE; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI, New York, NY; and Jacksonville, FL.
In addition to motivational speaking, Dr. Washington owns a business and is very active in the ministry. He currently serves as an Associate Pastor of World Wide Grace and Mercy International Ministries and Dean of "A More Excellent Way Bible Institute." Dr. Washington currently resides in the western suburbs of Chicago. He is married with five children.
